Thomas John Frankowski
After a fearless battle with pancreatic cancer, Thomas "Tom" Frankowski, 62, ended his fight on June 7th, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
Born on October 29th, 1960 in Milwaukee, Tom was the son of Thomas Sr. and Marjean Frankowski. He grew up with his sisters, Laureen and Julienne, and brother, Dan, in Sussex, WI.
Tom started his professional career in 1978 as a prepress technician at Quad Graphics and rose up the ranks, ultimately becoming Quad's first chief operating officer. Tom touched many lives throughout his career and was passionate about growing the company through the people. He was a true icon whose passion for mentoring others inspired them to become more than they ever thought they could be. The relationships that he built became lifelong friendships spanning the globe. After 44 years of service, he retired in December of 2021.
Throughout his life, he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed attending Brewer, Packer, and Badger games. Equal to that passion, Tom enjoyed hosting pregame sessions where he was known for mixing up his famous bloody marys. In addition to his passion for sports, he enjoyed spending time with his close friends building and racing his 1960 (#25) Corvette. Other passions included restoring vintage cars, golfing, hunting, deep sea fishing, and skiing.
Tom will be remembered for his intellect, his passion for leading, and his unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and the importance of nurturing relationships. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Pam; children Hali Stafford (Drew), Zachary Frankowski, Hannah Ditto (Alex), Ashley Rigsby (Zach), and Emily Nettesheim; his grandchildren Mason Stafford, Mila Stafford, Maddox Stafford, and Kaden Rigsby; brother, Dan Frankowski; sister Julienne Campbell; nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family members. Tom is preceded in death by father, Thomas Sr.; mother, Marjean Frankowski; and sister, Laureen Moll.
In lieu of flower, memorials in Tom's name to the American Cancer Society and H.A.W.S are appreciated.
A visitation service to celebrate Tom's life will be held on June 13th, 2023, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 4-8 PM.
