He retired from Ohio Oil Gathering after 45 years of service, was a member of the Corning Masonic Lodge 584 F&AM and the Bethany Methodist Church.
Tom is survived by his wife of 68 years Beulah (Spencer) Gaitten, Daughter Tammy Whitacre, son Tom ( Lori) Gaitten, grandchildren, Josh( Danielle)Gaitten , Jenna ( Curt) Mauro, JoJo ( Tyler) Householder and Matt(Brittany) Whitacre, and 8 great- grandchildren, Monroe and Maren, Mason and Ellee, Annie and Parker, Loken and Imrie The Spencer families and several nieces and nephews
Friends may call from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday October 2, 2025 at the Bethany Methodist Church in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev Carolyn Hoskinson Officiating , Masonic Service will be conducted, Honoring Tom's Wishes cremation will take place. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Bethany Methodist Church or the Perry County Cancer Alliance .
