Thomas Gardner Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Thomas "Tom" P. Gardner, who left this world on November 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 26, 1952, in Syracuse, NY, Tom lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication before peacefully departing in Newport News, VA.

For over 30 years, Tom committed himself to his work at PK Tools as a contractor, a career that allowed him to travel often, taking him all across the Midwest, west coast, and even to Mexico. Despite his travels, Tom's heart was always anchored to his home and family, whom he loved deeply.

An avid Buffalo Bills and Syracuse University fan, Tom's passion for sports was surpassed only by his love for wood working and maintaining his yard, where he found peace and joy. Those who knew Tom will remember him not only for his skillful hands but also for his infectious laughter-a sound that could lighten any room.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Jane Gardner; his son, Michael Baxter; and his sister, Nancy Barbar. His legacy lives on through those he leaves behind: his beloved wife of 43 years, Marilyn Gardner; his children, Timothy Gardner (Maria), Wayne Baxter (Shannon), Laura Wenzel (James), and Jeff Baxter (Sarah); 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his loyal canine companion, Maggie.

As we celebrate Tom's life, we embrace the countless memories and the lessons he imparted. He was a beacon of warmth and humor, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. His laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
