Thomas Gene Garrett Jr who was known to all as "Pete" was born on December 8, 1965 and he left this world on February 26, 2025 to be made whole again by his Savior.
Pete had a booming voice, infectious laugh, was a gifted storyteller and was generous to a fault. Pete had many loves in his life fine clothes, nice cars, good cologne, an immaculate home, pretty girls, but his family and friends definitely topped the list of what he loved most. If you were lucky enough to meet him, you'll never forget him.
He was a self made success that mastered every aspect of the car business. It was one of his loves for many years as well.
Pete never had kids of his own, but he loved and spoiled so many over the years, especially his nieces and nephews. They all would tell you that he was the best, the craziest, the coolest and the most fun uncle ever! He loved our babies with his whole heart and they loved him the same. Pete was one of the best brothers too. He was the brother that always wanted to be the rescuer, never said no if you needed something, and could always make you laugh until you cried. Our hearts are so broken by his absence. He will be missed beyond measure. We love you always, brother.
Pete was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, mother Willie Robinson, brother Andy Garrett, sister Tammy LeMons, and nephew Joshua Crabtree. He is survived by his father Thomas Garrett, siblings Rhonda Janes & husband Mike, Vickie Whalen & husband Mike, Sandra Douglas & husband Alex, Lee Garrett & wife Helen, and Laura Harrison & husband Traye, his many nieces & nephews, and extended family & friends.
There will be a time of visitation Saturday March 1st from 5-7pm. Services and burial will be Monday March 3rd at 1pm at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Pine Forest Road.
