West Hartford — Thomas Raymond Goszewski, 40, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home.
Tom was born on August 16, 1985, in Merrillville, Indiana, the son of Susan (Jeffries) Goszewski and the late Thomas Goszewski. He was employed as a Regional Sales Manager for 90 Degree Benefits. Tom graduated from Cheshire High School in 2004 and continued his education at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in accounting and finance.
Prior to high school, Tom—known affectionately as “Tommy”—was a talented swimmer who competed in numerous conferences. During his years at Cheshire High School, he was a member of the football and lacrosse teams and enjoyed his part-time job at St. Bridget’s Church. While attending Saint Joseph’s University, he rowed crew and passionately rooted for Philadelphia sports teams alongside his many friends.
After college, Tom lived in New York City and San Francisco before settling in West Hartford, Connecticut. He was an avid history buff, also well known for his love of cars. Tom enjoyed working with his hands and taught himself how to fix just about anything that needed attention. A loyal and generous friend, he was always willing to help others. He also enjoyed photography and painting and was a self-taught artist who created many meaningful works of art for his friends and family.
In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his sister, Kristin; his uncle, James Jeffries, and his wife, Teri; his mother’s partner, Brian Klanica, and his children, Justin and Ben; his aunt, Joyce Goszewski; his aunt, Mary Goszewski; well as several cousins in Indiana.
Arrangements: Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street. On Tuesday, Tom’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Bridget’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in honor of Tom’s father, may be made to Smilow Cancer Hospital, c/o Office of Development, Yale New Haven Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508-9979.
