Thomas "Tom" Warner Goyett, age 86, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2025,
surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 30, 1938, in Minturn, Colorado, he
lived a full and purposeful life marked by dedication to his country, his community, and
most of all, his family.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, achieving the rank of
Technical Sergeant (E-6) as an Aircraft Mechanic Technician, before retiring in 1977. He
continued to serve others through nearly three decades of work with the Canon City
School District. His strong work ethic and sense of responsibility left a lasting
impression on those he worked with and mentored.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, and never wanting to be idle, he could often be
found working in his yard or exploring the mountains four-wheeling.
Above all else, he cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife Pearl Goyett;
children Judy, Sandy, Laura, Doug, Anthony, and LaTrisha; brother Bill; numerous
grandchildren; as well as a niece and nephew. He is preceded in death by his father
Harry, mother Dorothy, and daughter Lisa.
Those who knew him remember him as generous and motivated-a man who gave
freely of himself and inspired others through his actions. Deeply loved by all of his family
and well respected by friends and colleagues alike, he leaves behind a legacy of
integrity, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all whose
lives he touched.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Grandview
Christian Church 3245 Grandview Ave, Canon City, CO.
