Thomas Joseph Greene, age 88, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 31st, 2025.
Born on March 30th, 1937, in New York City, NY, to Calmon and Margaret Greene, Tom graduated from Jerome Catholic High School in 1954. He proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning a long career at Capitol City Product, where he retired after 32 years.
A devoted Catholic, Tom was a faithful parishioner of The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Canal Winchester, Ohio. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Notre Dame, and Ohio State Buckeyes. Tom had a love for the water and a deep passion for airplanes and flying.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita; son, Richie; granddaughters, Monica & Ashley; sisters, Mary and Christine (both of New York); and his parents. He is survived by his children, Angela (Mark) Tedrick, Mary Ann (Keith) McKenzie, Doreen (Jeff) Long, Mike (Shannon) Greene, and Chrissy (Rob) Milburn; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2025, with burial to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 7060 State Route 3, Westerville, Ohio 43082.
