GRIMSLEY, Thomas W. – of Chesaning, died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his residence. He was 64 years of age.
Tom was born October 29, 1960, in Pontiac, MI to the late Thomas and Harriett (Commins) Grimsley. Tom was a resident of Chesaning the past three years having resided in Sterling Heights and Waterford. Mr. Grimsley served in the US Navy from 1979 to 1982. He installed drywall and worked other construction jobs. He enjoyed fishing and making birdhouses.
Surviving are: children: Alicia (William) Pearson of Holly, Crystal (Brian) Putz of Trenton, Leah (Rebecca) Kiersey-Robertson of Genesee; grandchildren: Colton Pearson, Madelyn Putz, Baron Putz and Genevieve Putz; siblings: Tammy (Dave) Thomas of Clarkston, Pam (Charles) Pridemore of Brandon Twp., and Roger Grimsley of FL; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cathy.
Memorial services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. MI. Contributions in his memory may be made to Vets Returning Home, 29523 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville, MI 48066. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
