Thomas Hanlon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes - Willoughby on Jan. 21, 2026.
Thomas Michael Hanlon, age 71, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was born on August 24, 1954, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and resided in Lake County for more than 30 years.

Tom was a retired salesman who valued simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Gordon) Moore; his nephews, Jason, Jonathan, and Matthew; and his great-niece, Megan Moore. He is also lovingly remembered as the best friend of Kathy Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Shirley Hanlon; his sister, Maureen Hayes; and his nephew, Gordie Moore.

Tom's true passion was fishing, especially during his many trips to Canada with his buddies, where days were spent on the water and evenings were filled with stories, laughter, and good times. As a single man who preferred not to cook, Tom became a familiar and well-loved face at Panini's in Willoughby, where many of his meals-and friendships-were shared. He also cherished his annual springtime visits to Florida, enjoying the warmth of the sun and a slower pace of life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Panini's in Willoughby at a later date, where family and friends will gather to remember Tom and the simple joys he embraced.
