Ferrum - Thomas Grant Harmon, Jr., 77, of Knoxville, passed away at his home in Virginia on November 7, 2024.

Born in Knoxville, Thomas was a graduate of Farragut High School Class of 1965 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He also graduated from the University of Tennessee. Thomas was also a member of Central Baptist Church Bearden. After graduation, he enlisted in the USMC Reserves, and became the Vice President of Valley Fidelity Bank, until his retirement from First Tennessee Bank. He was passionate about his loves, including his wife, his family, opera, books, antiques, and felines.

He is survived by his always loving wife, Linda Harmon; a daughter, Melissa Crumb; his grandsons, whom he adored, William and Fain White (all of Virginia); his sister, Betsy (Carl) Fields nee Harmon, his nephews Eric, Harry, and Tommy Fields; and a great niece and nephew, Chloe and Ric Fields (all of South Carolina).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Grant Harmon Sr., and Sarah Harmon, and an infant sister, Sarah Beth Harmon.

Services will be private and held later. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas' memory may be made to the Vestibular Association of America at vestibular.org.
