Thomas Harthun, 85, of Fergus Falls, died March 18, 2025, at his residence.
Thomas Earl Harthun was born April 8, 1939, to Joseph and Pauline (Lang) Klein in Tracy, MN.
He was adopted by Floyd Harthun. He attended Fergus Falls High School.
He was enlisted in the United States Air Force, in 1956, and was stationed both in Europe and the United States.
On July 25, 1959, he was united in marriage to Janice Yvonne Lillis at United Methodist Church in Dent, MN.
Through the years, Thomas was self-employed, worked in motor repair, at Lake Region Healthcare and in sales for Coca Cola and Electrolux.
Thomas was a member of the Eagles Aerie, Elks, Classic Car Club and Grace United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, gardening and wood cutting.
Preceding him in death were his birth father, Joseph Klein; adopted father, Floyd Harthun; mother, Pauline Harthun; half-brothers, Cletus and Robert Klein; brothers-in-law, Gary Lillis and Richard Johnson; sister-in-law, Caroline Johnson; mother-in-law, Ilene Lillis; father-in-law, Andrew Lillis.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Janice of Fergus Falls; children, Ricky Harthun of Fergus Falls, Sherrie Dupin of Fergus Falls and Heather (Jason) Bigelow of Herriman, UT; grandchildren, Tia Bigelow of Provo, UT, Prentice (Sara) Bigelow of Salt Lake City, UT, Zebulon Bigelow of Salt Lake City, UT and Chole Bigelow of Herriman, UT; half-brothers and sisters, Joseph (Dana), Cheryl, Gwendy and Lois (Charlie); sisters-in-law, Debra Dyer and Bonnie (Larry) Bohne; brothers-in-law, Bruce Lillis and Brian (Sheri) Lillis; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dent, MN
