Thomas Chad Hilton, age 49 of Bennettsville, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at his residence.
Chad was born on July 6, 1974, in Bennettsville. He was a son of the late Tommy Hilton, Jr. and Wanda Jean Driggers Hilton. Chad worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding his Harley and hunting. Chad had a great sense of humor. He was always the life of the party. He loved cooking for and entertaining his friends. Chad was the type of person who would do anything for anybody. Most of all, Chad cherished his time with his wife, daughters, and grandchild.
Chad is survived by his wife, Michelle Smith Hilton of the home; daughters, Kimberly Watson (Randy), Kayla Hilton (Travis), and Brittany Lackey (Will) all of Bennettsville; a brother, Darren Hilton (Pam) of Bennettsville; grandchild, Jace Lackey, and another expected in August; nephew, Rev. Josh Hilton (Jill) of Hartsville; great nephew, Jonah Hilton; several other extended family members also survive.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
