Thomas Evan Hinkle was born April 19, 1960, and died June 21, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Kris Ann Hinkle, son Derek and wife Jennifer Hinkle along with their children, Jayden, Evan and Dean Hinkle, daughters Ashley (Hinkle) and husband Joe Vukusich along with their children Sadie, Shaylee and Kinley Vukusich, and Abbey (Ingalls) and husband Curtis Robertson and their kids Kayleigh, Kooper, Kourtney, and Kennedy Robertson. Tom was preceded in death by his son Andrew.
Tom was a firefighter while serving in the United States Air Force and with the Phoenix, AZ Fire Department. He and Kris Ann were married in 1991. After retirement from the department, they moved to Montrose, CO. where he helped Kris start Classy Closet, and Tom worked as a driver for All Points Transit for several years. He was always proud of the fact that his career revolved around his passion for helping people. He was also so proud of his kids, grandkids – and Kris Ann.
Tom’s smile, infectious laugh, his wonderful sense of humor, and the connections he made with lifelong friends and co-workers, will be missed.
Tom met the Lord in a hotel room in Texas during basic training for the Air Force and continued that walk with Him until his passing last week.
There will be a Come and Go Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 26th from 4-6 pm at the Hinkle home located at 1113 Centennial Dr., Montrose, CO 81401.
