Thomas E. Howard

Thomas Edgar Howard, age 72, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 14, 2025, at Cox Medical Center. Tom was born to Edgar and Wyona Howard on January 5, 1953 in Springfield, MO. He was raised in Willard, MO, and graduated from Willard High School in 1971. Thomas was united in marriage to Susan (Linam) Howard on February 17th, 1975. Tom and Susie shared 37 years of marriage before Susie's passing in 2012. The couple was blessed with a son, Todd Howard.

Tom was employed in Banking and Finance for 50 years, retiring from Old Missouri Bank as EVP. Though Tom always found great satisfaction in his work, nothing brought him greater joy than the time he spent with family and friends, especially when traveling together. Tom will be remembered as an unwavering friend and one of the kindest people you could know. Tom leaves behind a legacy of support for Habitat for Humanity as well as several other charities and organizations.

Tom was preceded in death by his spouse and soulmate, Susan Howard, his beloved sister, Renee Howard, his treasured granddaughter Dacoda Howard and his parents. He is survived by his son Todd Howard and innumerable friends.

A visitation for Tom will be held on Monday, the24th of November, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, Missouri. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with a burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery located in Willard, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Tom's memory to Habitat for Humanity. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
