Thomas Hunter Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of Thomas Hunter, 73, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Mansfield, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tommy McMellon.
Thomas passed away suddenly on December 18, 2025. He was born on July 13, 1952 to Rosalie Guillotte Hunter and Cyrus Dean Hunter in Bunkie, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cyrus Dean Hunter; mother, Rosalie Hunter Lee; nephew, Christopher Dean Hunter; stepfather, Hugh Lee; nephew, Jonathan Patrick Clemons; mother-in-law, Faye Clemons; and father-in-law, Jon W. Clemons, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Gathright Hunter; daughters, Holly Lyn Hunter (Todd), and Katy Renee Cregut (Justin); brother, Dean Hunter (Martha); grandchildren, Tyler Allen, Samantha Allen, Hudson Cregut and Carmen Cregut; nieces, Hope Hunter Noviak and Emilea Haddox; nephews, Robbie Hunter and Ben Haddox; and his faithful companion for the last 13 years, his fur baby, Jake.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Hudson Cregut, Brad Allen, Tyler Allen, Todd Myers, and Alex Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Pat Clemons, Mike Haddox and Justin Cregut.
