Thomas Jarrard, 84, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 at Hoffmann Home with his family by his side. He was born in Fresno, CA on July 20, 1941 to Ray & Helen Jarrard.
Tommy was a devoted husband to his wife Debra Jarrard and a loving father and grandfather. To his family he was Simply the Best - the best husband, the best father and grandfather and of course the best farmer. Farming was not just his career but a life he truly loved. If you knew Tommy you knew he was one of a kind. His dedication, strength, and quiet way of caring for those around him made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He often said he did everything he wanted to do and couldn't ask for more. Hunting was also a passion he enjoyed. Especially the high desert of Wyoming where he made some lasting friendships.
Tommy was preceded in death by his son Marc in 2025. He is survived by his wife Debra, son Michael, daughter Karin Neal, son-in-law Jeffrey Neal, daughter-in-law Lisa Jarrard and his much loved grandchildren - Katherine, James & Grace Neal and Vincent & Joseph Jarrard. Also his brother Dennis Jarrard.
Tommy's memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, family and friends who loved him dearly. We will miss him each and every day. Knowing he is at peace with God in heaven because of his faith in Jesus Christ gives his family our eternal comfort.
A grave side service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Greenlawn Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA.

Tommy was a very dear friend during our days as classmates at BHS...and my love for him, as a kind, gentle, loyal, fun, with a grand sense of humor, is unbridled, leaving us with so many fond memories! He loved cars and was proud of his golden `51 Ford, and we loved to ride around it! Remember playing basketball with him and friends on his driveway. Even though limping through his disability, he moved around really good. His friends also were protective of him, with our care and devotion. May GOD shower him with blessings as he rests peacefully in his Heavenly paradise! Sharing blessings to for Debbie and his family! And these three things remain...Faith, Hope, and love...the greatest of these is LOVE!
