Thomas Jensen Obituary
Pleasant View, Utah Thomas Struve Jensen, 92, passed away on February 28, 2025. Born on November 9, 1932, in Clarkston, Utah, Thomas lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and service.
He married his sweetheart, Donna M. Baker, in November 1957 in Ogden, Utah, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Jensen; his children, Janet (Wade) Kotter, Karen (Bret) Kendell, John (Jodi) Jensen, and David (Chris Fischer) Jensen; and his brother, Nyman Jensen. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
A dedicated serviceman, Thomas served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and in the Air Force Reserves after the war ended. In addition to various locations in the US, his service took him to Japan where his radio squadron provided information for tactical control of combat aircraft of the Fifth Air Force. This led to the discovery and destruction of hundreds of enemy aircraft for which his squadron received commendation.
Thomas was the owner of Jensen Construction, a company he built from the ground up. He specialized in concrete footings and foundations, and he also built homes in northern Utah, focusing on quality and attention to detail. He was well known for his honesty and being easy to work with.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, which were really just means to get out and enjoy nature with family and friends.
Thomas will be fondly remembered for his patience, loyalty, and kindness—qualities that endeared him to all who knew him and will remain in the hearts of family and friends as his legacy.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Graveside services will be held for the family on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 S Washington Blvd.
