Nancy:
I just found out about Tom's passing. My most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. The Obituary was "right on" in so many respects.
I first met and got to know Tom at The Military Channel. He was an incredibly unique person, in all of the best ways - his intellect-sense of humor -compassion for those he worked with and so many other ways. Plus, he could give out good nick names. I mean "Pittski".
He was a good person and I will miss him.
God Bless.

I just received word that a friend of mine from junior high and high school passed away recently. He was 6 months younger than I.
Thomas Joseph Johnson was caring, compassionate, insightful, creative, and funny as all get-out. He introduced me to Kurt Vonnegut four years before the author was required reading. He also lent me his copy of "Steal This Book" by Abbie Hoffman. I think he bought it.
The world is a less vibrant place without him. My condolences to his wife Nancy, and all his family and friends who knew and loved him.
Rest In Power, Brother
