Thomas Edwin Jones Sr.

Thomas Edwin Jones, Sr., age 86 of Garnet Valley, PA. passed away on July 7, 2023 at his residence. Born to Lawrence and Jean (Schalles) Jones in Windber, PA, he resided for the past 20 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Wayne, PA. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy; he was stationed on the U.S.S. Fremont. He was a graduate of the University of LaSalle. Tom was the Vice President of Operations for General Electric Inc. for many years before retiring from Devon Tile. He was a Boy and Girls Scout Leader and was recognized for his leadership with the Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow. His grandchildren and great grandchild called him "P-POP" and he loved spending time with them. Tom also enjoyed spending his time outdoors in his garden, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Joanne Jones (Ostasiewski) of 18 years, children; Elizabeth Cabot (Tom), Kathleen Hall (James), Thomas Edwin Jones, Jr. (Liza), and Patrick Jones (Carrie), step children; Jamie Liberatore (Nick), and Kara Booker (Matt Lott), sisters; Sally Mackel, and Lori Kline, as well as 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Patricia "Patsy" Jones (Logue). Services will be private.
