Funeral Services for Thomas “Tommy” Jones, 75, of Mendenhall, MS, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 6, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. James Doughty and Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Tommy was born February 5, 1948, in Mississippi to Gaston and Ray Jones, and passed away October 2, 2023, at his residence in Mendenhall, MS.
Tommy was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. He was also a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Louisiana Chapter D and a Master Mason. He retired from El Paso Gas after 50 years at the company. He then worked another 3 years as a pipeline inspector.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Dell Jones and his parents, Gaston and Ray Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Jones of Mendenhall, MS; daughter, Tammy Williams of Flowood, MS; Son, Michael Jones and wife, Krista of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Monty Williams of Flowood, MS, Nathan Jones of West Monroe, LA, Aiden Jones of West Monroe, LA, and Greyson Jones of West Monroe, LA; brothers, Larry Jones and wife, Aileen of Mendenhall, MS, Terry Jones and wife, Denise of Mendenhall, MS, and Jamie Jones of Picayune, MS; sister, Valerie Jones of Mendenhall, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Jones, Aiden Jones, Will Ed Jones Gary Compton, Jerrell Gates, Gary Underwood, Mike Underwood, and Bruce Underwood.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Monty Williams V, Johnny Moon, and former coworkers.
