Thomas G. Jones age 78 years of Thorofare passed away on Wednesday September 24, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Camden, raised in Paulsboro where he was a 1965 graduate of Paulsboro High School. He then served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. For many years he worked at Columbia Records/ Sony in Pitman and then later for Johnson Matthey in West Deptford. He was a life member of the Army & Navy Union Garrison in National Park and the American Legion in Brooklawn. Tom enjoyed coaching baseball and was the founder of the West Deptford American Legion baseball team. He enjoyed playing softball, shooting pool and horseshoes. He was also known by many as "T.J. the deejay" as he deejayed on many weekends. Tom was also an avid Phillies, Eagles and Alabama fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara Jones (nee McGill) of Thorofare; his sons, Thomas and Amy Jones of Woodbury Heights and Scott Jones of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Abigail, Caitlin, Erin, Evan, Colin and Wes and his sisters, Diane and George Fox of Mullica Hill and Nancie and Chuck Kautz of Mantua, brother in law to Janyce McGill of West Deptford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Lillian Jones; his brothers, James Edward Jones and James Milton Jones and his sister, Pat Colna. The Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM Monday September 29, 2025 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday morning after 10 AM until service time. Interment Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford. Contributions can be made in his memory to the General Fund of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 3 Lenape Trail, Wenonah, NJ 08090 or the Army & Navy Union Garrison, 26 Riverview Ave, National Park, NJ 08063.
