Thomas Kaczmarek Obituary
Born on December 4, 1941, in Detroit, Tom lived a life of generosity and had a smile and laugh that could brighten a room.
Tom was a devoted husband to Gloria M. Kaczmarek (nee Urban) who preceded him in death on the very same day in 2024. They were married for 57 years at the time of Gloria's passing. Tom and Gloria had three children: Brian Kaczmarek (Lori Richards), Darcy Malavolti (Todd), and Pamela Reed (Jeff), and were proud grandparents to Ruth and Joseph Reed. Tom shared a lifelong bond with his four siblings, Jerry Kaczmarek, Bernadette Belville, Ceil Mrock (John Pellegrom), and Natalie Williams.
Professionally, Tom built his career at the United States Postal Service, first joining as a mail carrier and later working in management at post offices around the Metro Detroit area.
Throughout his life, Tom dedicated his resources to charitable causes. He believed in quietly supporting local organizations, knowing that small acts of kindness can make a difference.
He will be missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
