Edward Kaczmarek ObituaryEdward Kaczmarek, age 79, of Sayreville, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in South Amboy to the late George and Rose Kaczmarek, Edward was a lifelong resident of Sayreville.
After graduating from high school, Edward attended a technical school in Harrison, NJ, where he became certified as a Radio Electronic Technician. A passionate amateur radio operator, he was active in the HAM radio community. He also proudly served his country during Vietnam as a communications specialist in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Ethiopia. His military service laid the foundation for a long and successful career as a technician with Verizon.
Edward had an adventurous spirit. Alongside his late brother George, he toured all 50 states on motorcycle, and even journeyed through Australia - experiences he cherished deeply.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother George Kaczmarek. He is survived by his brother Richard, his uncle Edward Pysno, and many loving cousins, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:15am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ, followed by a 10am Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Sayreville. Burial will take place at St. Stan's Cemetery in Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Friday from 3pm until 7pm.
