Robert A. Lasko, age 88 of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Care One in Wall. Born in Sayreville, he was a lifelong borough resident. He was a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Before his retirement, Robert worked as a retail sales manager with the Perth Amboy Evening News and News Tribune. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Florence in 2024, and his siblings Richard Lasko, Joseph Lasko and Gladys Hunter. Surviving are his loving sons Robert and his wife Susan, James and his wife Patti, his cherished grandchildren Laura, Sharon and her husband Thomas, Matthew and his wife Alyssa, Daniel and his wife Christina, Emily and Ryan, his great-grandchildren Braden, Tyler, Connor, Dylan, Cole, Blake, Cameron, and Lillian, his brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Susan Lasko, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Victories R.C. church in Sayreville, with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. Calling hours will be 4pm to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to the Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children at 251 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, NJ 08872.
