Selmer Jensen Obituary
Selmer "Sal" Johan Jensen Jr., age 81 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Born in Norway, he had lived on Staten Island before moving to Sayreville 16 years ago. Sal was the proud owner and operator of Jensen Interiors on Staten Island for many years. He loved working as a carpenter, enjoyed cooking, and was always working on another Lego project. However, Sal's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is predeceased by his parents, Selmer and Oddny Jensen.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 33 years Christine Reyes Jensen, his loving sister Dagny Hassinger, his cherished nieces Christine Lane and Catheryn Lee, his great-nephews and great-niece Matthew Lane, Benjamin Lee, Amanda Lee, his brothers-in-law Charles and Daniel Reyes, and his sisters-in-law Sandra Reyes and Judy Smith.
Services are private to family only under the direction of the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ.

Chris and sal bought my childhood home in sayreville and from the first time I met them they felt like family. Sal will be missed at our memorial weekend picnic and I'll never for those amazing stuffed mushrooms. You could talk to Sal for hours and he never judged you. He just loved a good time. You will be truly missed. Until we meet again
