Joan "Ciol" Golaszewski

Joan Golaszewski, age 92 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Old Bridge Medical Center. Joan had resided in Sayreville for the past 67 years. She was devoted to her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Joan was a member of the Sayreville Seniors Tuesday Club, the St Stans Seniors and the Sacred Heart Seniors. She was a past vice president of the St Stans Seniors and organized many trips for the group. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and traveling.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Josephine Ciol; her husband Raymond "Babe" Golaszewski; her daughter Debra Golaszewski; her grandson Kevin Matysik and her brother John Ciol. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Matysik; her grandson Jason Matysik, her sister Judith Paczkowski; and many nieces and nephews.

All services are private under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.
