Thomas Christopher Kanke

CENTERVILLE, IN– Thomas Christopher Kanke, age 59, of Centerville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Born October 6, 1965, in Richmond, Indiana, to Thomas and Joyce McNamara Kanke, Tom lived in this community his entire life. He graduated from Ivy Tech and worked as a tool & die maker for Ahaus Tool & Engineering, Contract Industrial Tooling, and Moore Precision Machining. Tom enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Vicky Minor Kanke; daughter, Alea (Matt) Perry; grandchildren, Riley Day, Kaylie Perry, Paxton Kanke and his mother, Jessica Toschlog; his parents; sister, Jenny Ryan; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jeff and Alisa Brown, and Greg and Chris Minor; nieces, Natalee Brock, Lindsey Baker, Lauren Simpson, Brittany Minor; nephews, Andy Minor, Mitchell Minor, Brandon Purden, Tyler Siegel, and Alex Cosgrove.
He was preceded in death by his son, Blaine Kanke, who died in 2016; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Nancy Minor.
Visitation for Thomas Christopher Kanke will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Jermayne Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
