Marilyn June Stevens

RICHMOND, IN– Marilyn June Stevens, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, February 27, 2026, at Reid Health.

Born June 3, 1938, in Richmond, Indiana, to Richard and Mildred Bettenbroke Porter, Marilyn lived in this community all of her life. She attended Richmond High School and retired from accounting at Sears after more than 30 years. Marilyn was a member at VFW #1108 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 65 Auxiliary. Marilyn loved attending her grandchildren's sporting activities, giving people hugs and celebrating birthdays. Marilyn enjoyed going to casinos and was an IU Basketball fan. She also enjoyed NASCAR.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Richard Stevens; daughters, Gwen (Phil) Kaufman, Joyce (Don) Carr-Coppock, Dee (David) Herring, and Kristy Stevens; grandchildren, Travis McAvene, Krissy Seal, Kaitlyn (Travis) Griffey, and Bryson Stevens; 8 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Mary Alice York and Juanita Osborne; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Cross; parents; and 5 siblings.

Visitation for Marilyn June Stevens will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lutherania Cemetery.
