Thomas Keane Obituary
Thomas will always be remembered as a man of integrity with a work ethic second to none. Forever a hero to his four boys, he helped raise them to carry on this strong tradition. He was a loving man with strong morals that touched many people's lives. A teacher's teacher, he devoted his life to teaching others the importance of living a full and balanced life, paying special attention to the value of ""family."" He was very proud of his heritage and even to the end, smiled as he stated he was IRISH. He is now at peace with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thomas is survived by Sandee, his beloved wife of 32 years; Loving father of Thomas (Katrina), Scott (Lisa), Dennis (Caren) and Michael (Laura) who he raised with their mother Arlene; Adored grandfather of Kathryn (Johnmark), Cassandra (Shaan), Andrea (Kevin), Nicole (Nathaniel), Tommy (Caroline), Matthew, Jessica, Jonathan, Francesca, Jacqueline, Mary, and Marco and great grandfather of Christopher, Emma and Theodore; Cherished uncle, cousin and friend to many including Sandee's sons Richard (Velma) and David. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Anne (nee Joyce) and his siblings Martin, Mary Gibbons, and John.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Thomas's caregivers: Emily, Rosie, Nickie, Soma, and Daniella.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3:30-8PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL. Family and friends are invited to meet for a memorial visitation from 9:30AM until time of memorial Mass, 10:30AM, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. For info, 847-359-8020.
