Loving father of Thomas P., Deborah Colon, Susan (Al) Lopez, William (Mary), and Edward (Leslie).
Cherished grandfather of Sean, Mitchel, Matthew, Alec, Alexandra, Liam, Emily, Jacklyn, Lexi, and Tori, Great-Grandfather of Giselle, Anna, Madison, & Ava. Dear brother of Robert and Margaret Shantz, and the late Rosemary Kriescher.
He was a proud graduate of the State University of Farmingdale. He was a retired Civil Engineer for Nassau County. He will be remembered for his steadfast love of the outdoors.
Ex- Chief of the East Norwich Fire Company No 1, and Member of the East Norwich Volunteer and Exempts Benevolent Assoc.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7th, 2-4, & 7-9 p.m.
Firematic services at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass Thursday, January 8th at 10:30 a.m. Chapel of St. Dominic R.C.C.
Interment Locust Valley Cemetery

Tom was such a deeply respected volunteer of the beautification committee of East Norwich. He would often be seen cleaning the intersection and planting wild flowers in the medians--mostly by himself.
The Community loved Tom.
