Thomas Joseph (TJ) Kelley, age 69, of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center. Thomas was born on May 1, 1956, in Tucson, Arizona, in Pima County, to the late Lloyd Miller Kelley and Jean Catherine Kelley.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1979. Following his military service, Thomas built a career in telecommunications and later retired as a Telecommunications Technician. He was a faithful member of Ford’s Branch Church of Christ and was known for his dedication to family, service, and faith.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lynn Parker Kelley; his children, Evan Thomas Kelley, Kaylynn Danielle Kelley, and his adopted daughter, Heather Kelly Spencer; his siblings, Daniel Mark Kelley and Patricia Jean Kelley; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Michael John Kelley and Jerrie Kay Kelley.
A memorial service honoring TJ, will be held at Lucas and Son Funeral Home, Saturday, December 27, 2025, 3 PM-5 PM.
