Thomas Fredrick Kenison, son of Fred and Josephine (Hand) Kenison, was born April 3, 1951, in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood was spent in Arnolds Park, and he graduated from Arnolds Park High School in 1969.
Shortly after graduating, Tom enlisted in the United States Navy. He served honorably until 1971. He lived in Colorado for a short time before moving back to Arnolds Park, where he resided for the remainder of his life. He helped work at his mother’s concession stand, then eventually took it over. In addition, he had a pecan stand.
Tom enjoyed being outdoors, whether working or playing. He rode many miles on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota numerous times. He also loved a good casino, and made annual trips to Las Vegas, Nevada. Tom was good natured and always willing to help others.
