Thomas E. Kidwell

Thomas E. Kidwell, 80, of Wooster, passed away November 13, 2025, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home.

Thomas was born May 28, 1945, in Steubenville, OH to Herman Melvin and Cora Ellen {Kughn} Kidwell.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Patricia Flinner on September 28, 1986. She passed away in 2019.

Thomas was a self-employed truck driver for many years before retiring in 2010. He attended the Blachleyville Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking, and working on his computer. Thomas was an avid reader of Louis L'Amour books.

Thomas will be deeply missed by children Kenneth (Crystal) Kidwell and Kris (Josh) Kidwell from Colorado, sons Harrison “Ed” (Lori) Flinner II and Heath E. (Daphne) Flinner both of Wooster; grandchildren Kirsten of Missouri, Alora, Darian, Jayden of Colorado, Eddie (Krista) Flinner, Hunter Flinner, Holden Flinner all three of Wooster, Heather (Mike) Wilkins of Toledo; brothers Jerry Kidwell of Wisconsin, Stacy Kidwell of North Carolina; and sister Becky Ditmars of Galion.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings Lonnie, Midge and Carol.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Thomas-Kidwell) with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
