Thomas Kinzer Obituary
April 20, 1941 - November 15, 2025
Thomas B. Kinzer, Sr., 84, of Galloway, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025. Born April 20, 1941, in Somers Point. Tom grew up in Linwood, graduated from Ocean City H.S., was a member of the National Honor Society and the football team. He graduated in the 63rd Class of the N.J. State Police and retired as a Major in 1995 after serving for 31 years. From 1996 - 2003, he was the Chief of Campus Police at the Richard Stockton College. Tom is predeceased by his parents: William L. Kinzer Sr. and Evelyn E. Plowman-Kinzer, his step-mother Anna Marie (Mary) Kinzer; his brother; Bill Kinzer Jr., his wife Judy Heim Kinzer, and their grandson, Thomas B. Kinzer III. Surviving members of his family are; their three daughters, Patricia Fody, of Mont., Terry Pagano, of N.C., and Milissa Dunn, of Mays Landing; two sons, Donald Birtch of Fla., and Thomas Kinzer Jr., of EHT; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may attend the memorial celebration of his life, which will be held Friday, November 21st from 10 am to 1 pm at Boakes Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to capeatlanticcats.com or your local animal shelter. To the Kinzer family my sincere condolences on the passing of your father . I first met him in the late 60's thru my fathers business when he would come in to buy electrical supplies. I later , like many other young police detectives had the pleasure of learning from him on many occasions. He was a great man and a great police officer may he rest in peace . Thank you for your service Major !

Both my father, les Carman and I, John Carman. Knew Tommy from working at Guenther's Mobil and on the expressway and Parkway. Going back a few years. 70's_90's.. was a great man to work with. God bless his family.
