Thomas A. Kiyak, 63, of Danbury and formerly of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Thomas was born on March 5, 1962 in Waterbury, CT to Ann (Scudella) Kiyak and the late Paul Kiyak.
Tom graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1980. In his younger years he was active in the Southington Jaycees and has always loved the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping or riding his motorcycle. Tom had a strong Faith, was a true free spirit and loved all animals. He was a talented artist, loved to cook and travel and was a proud American. Tom will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his mother Ann, Tom is survived by four siblings, John Kiyak of Plantsville, Mary Ann Wood and her husband James, Andrew Kiyak and his wife Katherine and David Kiyak and his wife Elizabeth, all of Marion, several nieces and nephews and his former wife, Heidi Palmer and her daughter Nicole both of Danbury. In addition to his father Paul, he was predeceased by his beloved dog, Hannah Rose.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 2 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
