Tom Klinedinst, 91, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his daughter's residence in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
Born in Canton, Ohio, he was the husband of his late wife Sally Klinedinst, father of his late daughter, Marianne Fulgham, the son of his late father Thor Klinedinst and late mother, Edna Klinedinst.
Tom was a man of adventure! He loved his foreign cars, from being a dealer, mechanic and refurbishing oldie goldies! He soon got into flying his own airplane and mother and father were off to their traveling. Built a home in the Keys down in Florida where they snorkeled, fished, and caught lots of lobsters. Then the heat got to them and have spent many years in their beloved Cabin in West Jefferson NC where they met many friends, entertained, festivals, antique shopped and enjoyed the beautiful view from their back porch. This was Toms happy place up to his passing. Then he shocked all of us one day and bought a beautiful, custom Corvette. Both mom and dad had a blast tooling around in that car in the mountains. He loved the attention when he would get out and watch people's expression when that 91-year-old codger popped out!!
Tom is survived by, his twin daughters, Susan Johnson, Peggy Smith and their husbands, Mark Johnson, Tim Smith, John Fulgham, (Mariannes husband), and his sister, Anne and Herb Gullquist, their children, and niece Becky Bushshor.
He is also survived by the "light of his world", his grandchildren. Stacey Terry, Derek Smith, Garen Smith, Kelley Orleanski, Lindsey Lyles, their spouses, Lauren Smith, Bethany Smith, Kevin Orleanski, and Taylor Lyles. Including his ten great grandchildren, Ryan Terry, Lillie Smith, Sarah Cate Smith, Coven Smith, Kennedy Orleanski, Benton Smith, Laken Smith, Aly Ann, Kyler Orleanski and the newest addition Hudson Lyles.
The family will be having a private memorial with only family at future date to be determined. As anyone who knew him, he wasn't much on a lot of fuss! He will always be remembered as our Big Great White Shark, G-Pa, Papa, Pops and Dad!
