Thomas Kogutz

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Leo Kogutz, who left us on February 23, 2026. Born on November 5, 1963, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Tom was the cherished son of John and Joan (Nadeau) Kogutz.

Tom dedicated his working life to serving his community as maintenance staff for a Senior Center, where he took pride in ensuring a comfortable environment for the residents. A proud member of the American Legion. Tom was also a lifelong member of St. Joe's Catholic Church in Wyandotte, where his faith and commitment to community were evident.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan, and five siblings: Daniel Kogutz, Johnny Kogutz, Susan Rushman, Cindy Watkins, and Billy Kogutz. Tom's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Mary-Jo Renner, along with many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-nephew, and numerous cousins, all of whom will cherish his memory.

In accordance with Tom's wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date, providing family and friends the opportunity to gather in remembrance of his life.
