Mildred Edwards Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Czopek Funeral Directors on Feb. 19, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred Patricia Edwards, who departed this life on February 18, 2026. Born on August 26, 1933, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Mildred was the beloved daughter of Frank and Eva (Hebda) Kieronski.

Mildred found true love with Clarence Edwards and the two shared 46 years of marriage. They were blessed with eight wonderful children who became the center of her world. Throughout her life, she exemplified dedication and love, nurturing her family and creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Later in life, Mildred took pride in her work as a housekeeper, caring for others with the same devotion she offered to her family. A faithful member of St. Alfred Parish in Taylor, she found strength and community in her faith, which was a cornerstone of her life.

Mildred had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed the little pleasures in life. She loved to play cards, especially rummy, and was an avid Bingo enthusiast, eagerly participating whenever the opportunity arose. Finding joy in the hunt, she frequently visited yard sales in search of the perfect trinkets to gift her family, always bringing a smile with her thoughtful surprises. Additionally, she had a soft spot for scratching lotto tickets, finding excitement in the thrill of trying her luck.

Above all, Mildred cherished her family and held a deep faith in the Lord, which guided her throughout her life. Her warm spirit and loving nature touched the lives of everyone she met.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Eva Kieronski, and siblings: Mary, Julia, Rosey, Frank Jr., John and Edwin. As well as her loving husband: Clarence Edwards.

Mildred is survived by her treasured children: Joe (Debbie) Edwards, Clarence Jr. (Debbie) Edwards, Mary (Bob) Hawkins, Tim (Mary) Edwards, Barbara (Steve) Gratz, Alice (Len) Mahoney, Patty Edwards and Theresa (Rob) Sawalski. Grandchildren: Hollie (Shane), Chad, Kelly (Rob), Chris (Janan), Lindsey (Tommy), Scott, Eva (Brian), Kristen, Mike (Jen), Nicki (Austin), Matt, Brian (Megan), Angie and Lenny. Many loving great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and her sister: Theresa (Bruce) Smith.
