Beverly Edwards passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Foothills Hospital, with her family by her side. Beverly was 72 years old.
She will be lovingly missed by her siblings: Albert (Donna) Edwards of Elkford, B.C.; Harold (Melody) Edwards of Sparwood, B.C.; and Belinda Storey of Calgary, Alberta. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: Clover-Lee, Charlotte (Dylan), Carol (Davin), Jacob, Sabrina (Sani), Joseph (Glenda), Preston (Ashley), Desiree (Robert), Chantel (Travis), Kyle (Natasha), Shawn (Cassie), Belinda Ann Robertson, Rosa (Larry), Tyler, Christian, and Dylan.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Violet and Alexander Edwards; her sister, Brenda Hopp; and her brother, Kelly Edwards.
Beverly was born in Fort St. John, B.C. After moving several times during her childhood, the family eventually settled in Fernie, B.C., which she always considered home. After completing her schooling, she began working at Quail’s Store in Fernie before moving to Calgary, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
In Calgary, Beverly held several positions before beginning a 25-year career in administration with Enerflex. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan, whether watching his movies or listening to his music, it always lifted her spirits.
Beverly was creative and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and all kinds of arts and crafts. She loved dogs and always had one by her side; her beloved Buttons held a special place in her heart and was fiercely loyal and protective. Beverly also had a deep love for horses and treasured every opportunity to ride, something her father made sure she experienced often.
She cherished time spent at the beach or in the water, especially when surrounded by children. Road trips were another favorite pastime. If you were traveling with Bev, you packed both lunch and dinner because it was sure to be an all-day adventure. Above all else, her greatest passion was her family. She loved spending time with the kids and was everyone’s favorite, the go-to aunt who was always there with love and support.
Beverly’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Peters, Dr. Sudershen, Dr. Moon, and the compassionate nursing staff, Jaye, Zion, Carrie, Ada, and Olivia M. at Foothills Hospital for the exceptional care they provided. They also wish to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Rockyview Hospital for their kindness and support.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Fernie. A notice will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Beverly may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.com.
