Thomas J. Kosydar, 66, of Dickson City, died Thursday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He is survived by his wife, the former Debbie Krushinsky. They were married on April 17, 1982.
Born in Scranton, his parents were the late Bernard S. Sr. and Jean Novajosky Kosydar. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant and in his younger days was a firefighter for Blakely Hose Company 2.
Thom was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, Throop and was employed by Global Metalform, formerly Sukle Manufacturing, Scranton and, more recently, Cinram, Olyphant. He was an avid Penn State and Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed golfing.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care and compassion and the doctors at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre for their guidance.
He is also survived by two brothers, Bill and his wife, Cheryl, of Olyphant; and James and his wife, Lynda, of Fleetville; two sisters-in-law, Angela Kosydar, of Olyphant; and Barbara Krushinsky, of Dickson City.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bernard S. Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant. Burial will follow in at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Blakely. Friends are asked to go directly to the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudak-O'Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. There will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA, 18507.
