Thomas “Tom” Levins was born on February 27, 1940, in Cambridge, MA to Frank and Edna Levins, and passed away on November 18, 2025, in Concord, NH. In 1959 he married the love of his life, Judith “Judy” Gleason and together they built a beautiful family of five children, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In 1974, the family moved from Cambridge to Weare, NH, settling into what had once been their vacation home.
At seventeen, Tom joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Rota, Spain. After returning home, he joined the Cambridge Fire Department, serving first as a firefighter, then an EMT before joining the Arson Squad. In arson investigation, he found his true calling. His relentless curiosity made him a natural investigator. He was proud to have developed and contributed to processes and procedures still used in the field today.
After retiring, Tom discovered a passion for genealogy, traveling to Ireland several times in search of records. When he needed a break for his eyes or his mind, he could be found outside on his tractor, puttering around in the yard, or feeding the birds. He took great pride in his home and personally handled most of its upkeep and improvements.
Above all, Tom believed in the strength and importance of family. The size of the family he leaves behind is a testament to this belief.
He is survived and remembered with love by his devoted wife, Judy and their five children: Theresa Fowler and her husband, Dick; Tracey Piper and her husband, Erick; Thomas Levins and his wife, Holly; Bonnie Eames and her fiancé, Michael Grandmaison; Tara Miles and her husband, Dean.
He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Levins and Catherine DeBeaucourt.
He is predeceased by three brothers, Frances, James, and Richard, and three sisters Patricia, Alice, and Betsy.
Services will be announced soon.
