Thomas Gean Lively

Thomas Gean Lively, 79, of South Bend, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home.
Thomas was born on August 3, 1945 in Graham, Texas to Charlie Lively and Henrietta Brannon Hawkins. He married Reta Roberts on May 11, 1982 in Graham. He had lived most of his life at South Bend and loved taking care of his cattle and taking his dog Jaylee with him on the golf cart. He loved to sit and visit with his friends at The Bend, eating burnt okra with his Michelob Ultra. He loved to aggravate his friends with his dry sense of humor. If he liked you; he was going to aggravate you. He loved being outside and absolutely loved his old westerns and keeping up with everyone on Facebook. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Lurline Echols.
Survivors include his wife: Reta Lively of South Bend; sons: Laun Lively and wife Hollie of Salesville, Trevor Lively and wife Shelley of South Bend, and Michael Garner and wife Jennifer of Azle; daughter: Michelle Garner of Garland; sister: Lois Cook; grandchildren: Colton Lively, Courtney Candler, Tanner Lively, Cameron Lively, Matthew Paul, Abigail Garner and Samuel Garner; and a host of "Found Family", with special acknowledgement to Robert and Yvonne Sharp and Jerry Allen.
The family wants to express their heartfelt thanks to the Casey Family and staff of The Bend for all of their hospitality and help during this difficult time.
There will be a viewing from 2:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2025 at McMillan Satterwhite Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Bend, South Bend, Texas on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
