November 20, 2025, was a day of rejoicing as Thomas Edward "Ed" Love traded his life on earth for the sweet fragrance of heaven.

Just days before his death, he told his wife, Hazel, that he would soon be walking on the streets of gold, and he was looking forward to his eternal home.

Ed leaves behind a profound legacy of love, strength, and devotion. A proud Army veteran, he carried out the values of honor and commitment throughout his life, but it was his family that defined him most deeply.

He devoted his life to family, nurturing generations with unwavering support and kindness, instilling wisdom, and offering comfort with a warm smile and a helping hand.

Ed attended Free Chapel Church in Gainesville and retired from Fieldale Farms Corporation in Murrayville. Many of the people he met at both church and work quickly became family to him.

His memory will live in the hearts of those who knew him, especially his wife, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Hazel, his children, Tanya (Warren), Craig (Teresa), bonus children, Beth (Britt), Keith (Heather), and Wendy, along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Other family members include his sister, Sara, sisters-in-law, Mary & Phyllis, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Born on February 4, 1939, he was raised in Toccoa, GA, and was the son of the late Craig Love and Eloise Farmer Love. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Barbara and Irene, his brother, Russell, and granddaughter, Samantha.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and Ed's primary nurse, Keischa, for their supportive care.

At Ed's request, no formal services will be held.
