Mrs. Arlene B. Love, age 81, beloved wife of 39 years to the late Mr. Tony Love, entered into rest on Tuesday November 18, 2025 at her home in North Augusta.
She was born October 12, 1944 to the late Lish A. and Vivian P. Boyd.
Arlene will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle spirit, and the fierce love she carried for the people in her life. She demonstrated strength not through loudness, but through her steady spirit and unwavering willingness to persevere. She confronted life’s challenges with quiet strength and courage, finding her greatest happiness surrounded by loved ones, particularly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her values were lived quietly yet powerfully each day, and her family loved her deeply, cherishing the memories they hold close.
In her early years, Arlene worked as a hair stylist, then as a retail merchandise vendor. She later held positions at United Merchants Clearwater Finishing Plant, the food service division for Aiken County Schools, and served as Director of Activities at Harmon House. Arlene loved spending her free time on the shores of Edisto Beach.
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her former husband, Terry Sanders; son, Timothy D. Sanders; grandson, Tyler D. Sanders; brothers, Billy Boyd and Lish A. Boyd, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Heise; stepchildren, Melanie Love Walling (James), Todd M. Love (Kathy); grandchildren, Bronson Heise (Brittany) and Brock Heise Jonathan Sanders, Brittany Carter (Devon); step grandchildren, Mary Jones (William Anderson), Megan J. James (Steven), James McGee (Nicole Williams and Todd M. Love, II; many great and step great grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Boyd.
A graveside service honoring her life will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2025 at 2pm at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Russell Larkin and Rev. Quinton Mills officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Bronson Heise, Barrett Heise, Brock Heise, Jonathan Sanders, Steve Mundell, and Jack "J.T." Mundell. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brinlee Heise, Donna Kaye Shaw, Callie Lane Mundell, Amy Boyd Hall, Melissa Marchant and Tammy May Singleton.
