THOMAS ANDREW MADDEN

Devoted and loving husband to Pamela Wall Madden for 47 years. Extremely proud father of Maura Madden (Rufus Tureen) and T. Andrew Madden, Jr. (Emmy Spahr Madden) and adoring grandfather to three grandsons: Theo Tureen, Hunter Madden and Gavin Madden. He is also survived by his brothers: Edward J Madden (DE), John J Madden (WA) and Paul E Madden (NJ) and his aide of seven years, Fabienne Cajuste.
Born in Philadelphia in 1938, he attended LaSalle University and was a member of their crew team, also crewing for Vesper Boat Club in 1960 and '61.
He moved to New York City in the mid 1960s and became a dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker.
He worked in the textile industry for his most of his career and then went on to fiber waste recycling, creating many inventive ways to process plastics.
He loved life and sports. He loved his farm in Bucks County, PA, where he hosted many picnics and camp outs, and went hunting with his brothers and his son. He loved comedy and music, and enjoyed seeing jazz as a young man in Philadelphia and throughout his life in New York. And he cherished being a husband, a father, a father-in-law and a grandfather.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his great smile, his style and his generosity.

Memorial Service hours will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 6-8pm at Krtil Funeral Home on 1297 1st Ave, New York, NY 10021.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 24 at 11am at St. Jean Baptiste Church on 184 E 76th St, New York, NY 10021.
