Thomas Edward Mahon Sr.

Thomas E Mahon of Granby, CT died Wednesday January 28 in New Port Richey, FL. Born to Thomas and Ruth Mahon 5/28/1938, Tom resided in Enfield for most of his life.

Tom attended Enfield School Systems and after school went on to work as Grounds Maintenance Supervisor at Bradley Int'l Airport retiring after 38 years. Tom enjoyed 37 years of marriage to Loretta (2002). They were actively involved with Thompsonville Little League for many years. After Loretta's passing, Tom enjoyed making memories with his significant other Flo going to the casino, travelling, and enjoying gatherings with friends and family.

Tom leaves behind Flo Rust, his children, Thom Mahon of Lincoln, ME, Terry Nutter of Springfield, MA, Kenneth Mahon of Vernon, CT and Kimberly Tait of Ellington, CT. Also to mourn Tom's passing are his beloved grandchildren Zachary (Alyssa Karat) and Jason Mahon of Enfield, CT, Holden and Abigail Tait of Ellington, CT, Stefanie Young of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Ryan Mahon of Manchester, CT. He also leaves his great-grandson Brayden Mahon (Butch) of Enfield, CT. In addition, Tom leaves Flo's children and grandchildren along with many friends in both Granby, CT and New Port Richey, FL. Tom is predeceased by his wife Loretta (2002) and son Patrick (1999) in addition to his parents and siblings.

A funeral mass will be on Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 am at St. Martha's Church, 214 Brainard Rd, Enfield, CT with burial to follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Belmont Ave, Enfield, CT.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne's Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT.

In lieu of flowers and honoring Tom's generosity to so many, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
