Thomas Carl Marko, 64, of Sunderland, formerly of Kailua-Kona, HI, passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2024, at Agawam North Rehab and Nursing Home. He was born in Northampton on March 14, 1960, to the late Martin and Doris (Williams) Marko.
Tom was educated in Leverett and Amherst Schools and graduated from Amherst Regional High School class of 1978. He had various jobs but most recently he worked as a security guard till his illness would no longer allow him to work. He enjoyed playing video games, golfing, snorkeling and hiking, he was also an avid Red Sox fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving and devoted siblings, his brothers, Michael Marko of Sunderland, Timothy Marko of Concord, NH, his sisters, Diane Marko of Amherst, and Donna Hubbard and her husband Stephen of Sunderland, sister-in-law, Linda Marko of Hatfield, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Joseph, and brother-in-law Norm Wilbur.
His burial will be Saturday, November 23 at 10 AM in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hadley, next to his parents. DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON HAS BEEN ENTRUSTED WITH HIS SERVICES.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, or to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105.
