Tom was born on November 2, 1930 to his parents Roy and Nellie Massy in Redstone Township, PA. The family moved to upper Michigan, where they ran a resort on Indian Lake. Tom enlisted in the navy in his high school years. He was united in marriage to his wife, Carolyn Miller of Madrid, IA in June of 1954. They lived in the Indian Lake, MI area for 13 years. Tom reenlisted in the Navy Seabees in 1967. While serving in both Korea and Vietnam he received the rank of Command Master Chief. In 1987 the U. S. Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I discovered this posting while sifting through old emails with Thomas concerning his wife's Miller ancestry. He was a great resource and I'm sure just as much of a terrific person.
