Thomas David Mayhall Sr

Funeral services for Thomas David Mayhall Sr., age 65, of Hokes Bluff, will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 6, 2023 at the Family Life Center at Hokes Bluff 1st Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Gooch officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Hokes Bluff Cemetery.
Thomas passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gene G Mayhall Sr.; mother, Ruth Pearson Mayhall; son, Jerry Gunnin; brother, Gene G Mayhall Jr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Mayhall.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ruth Mayhall; daughters, Tiffany Mayhall (Chad Griffin), Lori Shaw (Chad); sons, Justin "Huggie" Gunnin (Daphne Stewart) and TD Mayhall (Tonya); grandchildren, Bryanna Shaw, Collin Gunnin, Trent Mayhall, Brason Shaw, Taylor Griffin, Penelopy Shaw, Colton Mayhall, Paxton Shaw, and Parker Shaw; brothers, Daniel "Dugan" Mayhall, Walter Scott Mayhall (Donna), Johnny Mayhall (Kristy), Charles Patrick "Buckethead" Mayhall (Sharon); and a host of nieces and nephews, Fur babies past and present Maggie, Chloe, Sam, Harley, Toto, Bruce and Batman.
Mr. Mayhall was a 1976 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School. He was a fireman with the Hokes Bluff Fire Department for over 25 years where he served as Fire Chief and was also well known for being a mechanic all his life. In his spare time, when he wasn't working on junk, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Pallbearers will be family and friends and the special "shop crew". Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hokes Bluff Fire Department, Fireman, and EMTs.
