Thomas W. McCabe

Thomas William McCabe, 82, longtime resident of Kings Park, NY, passed suddenly on November 5, 2025. Born on March 7, 1943, in Mineola, NY to the late William and Barbara McCabe. Tom was a beloved husband of 61 years to Janet P. McCabe (nee McCaffrey). Loving father of Patricia (James) Maletta, Thomas (Patti) McCabe, and Kevin (Cathi) McCabe. Cherished grandfather of Gina, JT, Lia, Danny, Dylan, Courtney, Olivia, and Emelia. Tom was a retired CFO for MPL Communications, Inc., a music publishing company based in Manhattan, where he enjoyed an illustrious career. He was also a proud member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus-Fr. Seyfried Council 821, Kings Park and an active parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Kings Park. Tom was an extremely knowledgeable history buff and a devoted model railroad train enthusiast. Tom will be most remembered by his family by his happy smile and eternally positive outlook. He was a devoted family man and a colorful storyteller. He was most proud of his family – his wife, children, and all his grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Butler-Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. at 69 Indian Head Road, Kings Park. Knights of Columbus Service on Sunday 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Monday, November 10, 2025, 11:00 am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.
